Our Story
Frank and Alice Ward realized their dream in developing one of Wisconsin’s finest campgrounds and resorts. This family-owned and operated enterprise now includes three generations. Their strong family values, amazing work ethic and pride in meeting the needs of their customers is obvious and is a major factor in the success of Holiday Shores.

On March 15th, 2008 Holiday Shores Campground and Resort was honored at the Wisconsin Association of Campground Owners Annual Conference by being the First Inductees to enter the WACO Hall of Fame. The Ward family was chosen for who they are and what they have accomplished at Holiday Shores. Congratulations Alice and Frank and family.

Holiday Shores Campground has been serving guests since 1976, now operated by Frank & Alice’s son, Jim Ward, along with his wife, Jill. Their children and grandchildren remain an important part of the daily operations. Together, the Ward family has carried on the dream of their parents, Frank & Alice.

It is with heavy hearts that the Ward family announces the passing of Alice Ward in October, 2020, surrounded by her loving family.
Alice was a great mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend, she has brought so much joy and laughter into our lives with memories that will last a lifetime. Frank, Sr. and Alice were responsible for the creation and development of Holiday Shores and all of the memories so many families have enjoyed over the years. The Wards are looking forward to continuing that tradition.
